This discovery was not planned. However, this novel phenomenon and its understanding offers great scope for piezoceramic, based industries
Solution
The bending deformation demonstrated as a result of our discovery can, for example, be exploited to design monolithic piezoceramic cantilevers and a variety of other such devices
Potential
The piezoceramics market is ~USD 1.8 billion (~4.8% CAGR). Exploiting our discovery to develop new piezoceramic products can help partners capture much of this market.
