About Bharat Innovates

Bharat Innovates 2026 is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, with strategic guidance from the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA). It is designed to represent India’s R&D-backed technology innovation prowess — nurtured at Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) — on the global stage.

The programme identifies, mentors, and supports approximately 100 promising and path-breaking technology innovations at various stages of development (TRL 3–9), and presents them to a global audience comprising industry personnel, investors, policymakers, potential collaborators, and technology partners.

Focus & Objectives

The programme provides a global platform for the top 100 deep-tech ventures associated with (or aspiring to be associated with) the innovation infrastructure at MoE’s Higher Education Institutes and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes. Key objectives include:

  • Providing a global platform for deep-tech ventures to travel to France as representatives of India’s technology innovation prowess
  • Enabling ventures to expand their horizons by accessing wide-ranging global market and technology partners
  • Facilitating presentation to global investors, securing their participation in venture development journeys
  • Bridging the gap between laboratory research and commercial success by ensuring high-potential ideas receive the support they need

The Invitation

For years, the narrative has been about Indian talent building the future of existing global giants. As we look toward the Bharat Innovates 2026 showcase in France this June, that narrative is changing. The founders we are bringing to Nice aren’t just looking for jobs; they are looking to redefine industries.”

We are inviting investors and industry leaders to spend 10 minutes on bharatinnovates.info — to find the one team that aligns with your professional expertise or investment thesis. If a project resonates, the Bharat Innovates team will facilitate a direct conversation to explore support ahead of the June showcase.
