Problem
Emissions from furniture, paints, appliances, and vehicles accumulate in closed spaces like homes, offices, cars, and schools, building beyond safe limits and harming occupants' health with prolonged exposure.
Solution
We developed a textile fabric capturing gaseous aromatic pollutants from indoor air. Usable as curtains, carpets, seat covers, and filters, it is regenerable by heating or washing and reusable.
Potential
Indoor pollution is rising in homes, workplaces, and cars from modern furnishings. Keeping children, families, and professionals safe makes such solutions a necessity, giving them huge market potential.
Target Beneficiaries
Everyone—school children, professionals, families, and travellers in cars and other transport. These fabrics can be used by all to capture toxic gases and stay safe.
Current Users
Technology is at TRL 3-4 and needs to be upscaled and field tried.
