Entanglement-based QKD uses quantum entanglement to securely exchange encryption keys while detecting eavesdropping, minimizing security risks, supporting scalable quantum networks, and enabling an unhackable quantum internet.
Potential
Entanglement-based QKD could secure millions of users across governments, banks, and telecom networks, enabling global quantum internet links, with hundreds of quantum nodes and satellite-based secure key distribution networks.
Target Beneficiaries
Governments, defense, banks, telecom, healthcare, and cloud providers globally—including India, US, EU, etc—along with enterprises, research institutions, and everyday users requiring secure communication.
Current Users
Field trials run within IIT Delhi campus; early deployment underway for a 400 km multi-node fiber testbed in north India. Early customers may include research and academic institutions.
